Approved Courses

The approved courses consist of courses offered by the MU's EECE, MSCS, and BIEN Departments, as well as courses offered by MCW. These courses are categorized into: "Computing", "Bio" and Bioinformatics Specified Courses. The list of approved courses will be evaluated regularly to address the rapid advances in the area of information technology, computer science and biomedical research.

Course offerings are appropriate for students from a variety of backgrounds, seeking a professional graduate program leading to or enhancing a career in bioinformatics. Any qualified Marquette graduate student may enroll in these classes.

Many of the listed courses are offered in the evening, and some are offered during summers. Most of the graduate-level courses are offered on a two-year rotation, while most of the upper-division undergraduate electives are offered on a one-year rotation.

This list will be modified annually as new courses are developed.  Click on course number for description.
